It is estimated that more than 25% of active-duty military families and 10% of veteran families in our area need assistance with food.
The ASYMCA Oklahoma Hero’s Marketplace is our newest effort to combat food insecurity in the community we serve. This program helps reduce food-related stressors on military families so they can focus on mission readiness.
Active duty and veteran families that could use a little help with groceries can bring an ID with the appropriate service distinction to our Little Explorers Bld (860 Cache Road) there, they pick up a 30lb food box and choose anything else their family wants and needs, perishables included, free of charge.
